Dr. He is a Surgical Oncologist/General Surgeon with more than fifteen years of experience. He has a special interest in skin cancer and melanoma with complex flaps reconstruction, breast cancers with oncoplastic reconstruction, and soft tissue sarcoma. He also performs laparoscopic gallbladder surgery, laparoscopic hernia repair, and colonoscopy.

Dr. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons , and a Member of General Surgeons of Australia. Dr. He undertook his medical training in Shanghai and New Zealand, where he was awarded his PhD degree from the University of Otago in 2004 for his successful research in the mechanisms of angiogenesis, which plays a critical role in cancer development.

After relocating from New Zealand to Australia in 2008, Dr. He had further surgical training and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2012. Dr. He completed his post-fellowship training in Surgical Oncology specializing in Breast cancer, Melanoma, and Sarcoma at the Peter Maccallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne. Along with a dedication towards patient care, Dr. He also harbors a passion for medical research, supervising surgical trainees and teaching medical students. His published works have been featured in multiple medical journals.
